Russian Manicure (Dry Manicure)
Beautiful Nails Begin with a Healthy Foundation
Casa De Dee Nails LLC — a private nail suite, by appointment onlyMost manicures hurry past the part that matters most. The cuticle is nudged back in a moment, polish goes on over whatever is still sitting on the nail, and within days the edges look untidy and the finish starts to lift. A Russian manicure slows that part down — because the clean, precise frame around the nail is where a manicure actually begins.

What most manicures skip
Polished nails are only as clean as what sits underneath them. Dead skin left on the nail plate keeps polish and gel from sitting where they should. Cuticle left rough and uneven makes even careful color look unfinished within days. And the soak at the start of most manicures — the warm bowl of water — swells the nail and softens the skin, which changes how both take product and how long the result holds. Here, that work is not skipped, and it is not hurried. The starting point is always the same: assess first, recommend second, never rush. Yehudeet, a New York State licensed nail specialist and private nail concierge, looks closely at the natural nail and the skin around it before anything is applied — and the detailed work comes first.
What a Russian manicure is
A Russian manicure is a dry manicure — no soaking — built around high-end cuticle work. The cuticle is cleaned off the nail plate, and the dead skin around the nail is exfoliated away with precision tools, carefully and completely. What is left is an exceptionally clean frame around the nail — the foundation that polish or an enhancement then sits on.Russian Manicure (Dry Manicure) — from $65A dry manicure — no soaking — with detailed, high-end cuticle work and precise shaping. With or without gel polish. The name is used in a lot of places now. What differs is the standard of the work itself — how completely the cuticle is cleaned from the plate, how carefully the skin around the nail is finished — and the setting it is done in: one client, one specialist, and the time to do it properly. It is cuticle care held to a standard, not a label.
What an appointment looks like
Appointments are one-on-one, in a private suite in Amityville with its own entrance and bathroom, and they run about an hour and a half to two hours. Nothing is hurried. The first part of your visit is the assessment: Yehudeet looks closely at each nail and the skin around it, talks with you about what you are hoping for, and tells you plainly what she sees.
One boundary, with no exceptions: Yehudeet assesses the natural nail plate — she does not diagnose medical issues, of any kind. If a nail looks like a medical doctor needs to look at it, she will say so plainly, and recommend that you have it seen.
From there, the cuticle work is done dry and in detail, the nails are shaped with precision, and your polish or enhancement is applied over the cleanest foundation it can have. Every service ends with aftercare recommendations. The recommendations are part of the service — the creams that suit your skin, and cuticle oil made for you by special order, if you would like your own.
Who this is for — and who it is not for
This manicure is for the person who notices the frame around the nail — who wants the edges clean, the cuticle work exact, and polish that still looks finished weeks later, not just days. It is for the person who values natural nail health, and a private, unhurried appointment. It is not a fast service, and it is not a soak-and-go manicure. It is the unhurried version — the work done at the pace it actually requires.
Proof, in nails that stay healthy
Her regulars' nails are the honest proof. They return every three to four weeks, and their natural nails stay healthy between visits — because the cuticle work is done carefully every time, and the nail plate is kept clean and maintained instead of rushed through. There is no dramatic promise here: just nails that stay in good condition because someone is paying attention, visit after visit. And because every set of nails is different, the assessment always comes first.

Questions people ask
How is this different from a regular manicure?Three things. It is dry — no soaking, so the nail and the skin are worked on exactly as they are. The cuticle work is the center of the service, not a quick step at the start: the cuticle is cleaned off the nail plate, and the dead skin around the nail is exfoliated in detail. And it is done one-on-one, with the time the work actually takes.Does it hurt?
No. The work is precise, and it is done on the cuticle and the dead skin around the nail — carefully, never roughly. The appointment around it is unhurried, and if anything ever feels uncomfortable, you say so, and it is adjusted. How often should I come?
Most regulars come every three to four weeks — as the nail grows out and the frame around it is ready for its detailed work again. Your own timing is part of the conversation at your first visit. What can you help with — and what can't you?Yehudeet does detailed cuticle care and precise, dry manicures, and she assesses the natural nail at every visit. She does not diagnose medical issues. If something looks like a medical doctor needs to look at it, she will say so plainly and recommend seeing one first.
